Leave a gift in your Will

Leaving a gift in your Will can support our work for generations to come.

Leave a lasting legacy by including Blood Pressure UK in your Will.

Leaving a gift in your Will means you can support our work for generations to come. It means we can contrinue supporting people in leading a long and healthy life, helping us to prevent heart attacks and strokes.

How do I include Blood Pressure UK in my Will?

If you would like to donate to our work in your Will, thank you.

Writing a Will ensures your wishes will be honoured and the people and causes who matter to you are looked after.

Making or changing your Will can be easier than you think. Going through a solicitor is the easiest and safest option and makes sure your Will is valid.

There are different kinds of gifts that you can leave, for example, you may choose to give a set amount of money, a percentage of your estate (what you own) or a particular gift, such as an antique. You can read more about the different kinds of gift you can make in our factsheet, Making or changing your Will.

You won’t pay any tax on gifts you leave to charity, so we will receive the full amount you leave us.

If you are writing your Will
Before you go to see your solicitor you will need to think about:

  • what you own (your assets)
  • anything you owe, for example, on a mortgage
  • the kinds of gifts you would like to leave
  • who you would like to leave your gifts to
  • who you would like to carry out your wishes (known as your executors).

If you already have a Will
If you would like to add a gift to us in your Will, you can make the change to your existing Will by adding a Codicil. This is usually easy to do and inexpensive. If you already have a number of Codicils attached to your Will, it may be advisable to have a new Will drawn up to ensure that your wishes are set out clearly.
